Our Business History

Global CRA, Inc. was founded in 2005 by Alberto (Al) Molinar, U.S. Army Medic, Retired.

While working as a Study Coordinator, Research Site Manager, Project Manager at a CRO, and then as an Independent CRA/Monitor, Al saw the frequent turnover of CRAs at ophthalmology clinical sites. Site staff often reported being frustrated as they were having to get accustomed to the newly assigned monitors. Sites also commented that they needed to train the newly assigned monitor to the language used in ophthalmology, the basic anatomy of the eye, the disease under study, and often, the need to train the new monitor with the nuances of the protocol. 

Over a period of years, Al met and collaborated with numerous CRAs in the industry. Working side-by-side at clinical sites with many CRAs, Al created a listing of CRAs who were well-liked and respected by the site staff, appeared to be professional and appeared to perform their job correctly, and were CRAs whom he would recommend for other monitoring positions. This led to the formation of the network of CRAs at Global CRA, Inc.

We have since expanded to offering other clinical research services to the industry including Project Managers, Remote and Field CRAs, Lead CRAs, CTAs, Study Coordinators, and Data Entry.  Our network includes professionals throughout USA and Mexico. 

At Global CRA, Inc. we create and maintain meaningful and lasting relationships with our clients and members of the CRA network. The network was formed to offer expert monitoring services to Sponsors and CROs seeking experienced, dedicated, and responsible professionals experienced with ophthalmic and other therapeutic drug and device trials.
